Reunion V

Around 100 family members attended the fifth annual Haslacker Reunion over the July 25 - 27 weekend. They came from West Virginia, Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina, and maybe a few other states we were not able to gather. For most, it was a time for sitting and telling the stories of their memories from days long gone. For some it was a time for fun and games. For others, it was the time to prepare the silent auction, meals and the  contiuing task of gathering more information for the slowly growing family history and genealogy.

Saturday

The highlight of the day has always been the evening with BBQ and corn roasted in the husk followed by the talent show. This year, for the second year on a row, Darrell Haslacker provided a fireworks display that was stunning and a real close for a wonderful day. 

Sunday

After a thorough cleaning of the dining hall, a short Sunday worship service was held with music provided by Michael Haslacker and a short devotional by Allen Jones.

The Future

Next year the reunion will be held on the last weekend of July. Also, photos of this year's reunion will be posted on this website. Finally, a reunion  newsletter will be sent via email several times a year. To get this service simply send your request with your email address to ajones@highpoint.edu .
